He cites the political awakening of a new generation of democratic socialist in the American voting public that supports the candidacy of presidential nominee Bernard Sanders. The author believes that Sander's campaign reveals an emerging left-wing majority that is dissatisfied with the social and racial inequalities created by the Democratic and Republican parties.
