Abstract (English): This paper aims at presenting the epistemological, pedagogical and political grounds for a comprehensive education proposal, created in light of the historical-critical pedagogy and guided by the pedagogical principle of polytechnics. Therefore, one rescues the notion of this concept, from the Marxian conception until the interpretations made by some of the most important Brazilian authors in this field, whose theoretical support was put into practice via a social laboratory experience, between January 2005 and August 2006, in the city of Ariquemes, northern Brazil, whose results showed the feasibility of a comprehensive education model, whose purpose is human emancipation, under the Marxist perspective. Abstract (French): Cet article a pour but de présenter les fondements épistémologiques, pédagogiques et politiques d'une proposition d'éducation en temps intégral, conçue à la lumière de la pédagogie historico-critique et orientée par le principe pédagogique de l''éducation polytechnique. Pour cela, il faut reprendre ce concept, depuis la conception marxienne jusqu'aux interprétations de certains des principaux auteurs brésiliens, dont le support théorique a été mis en pratique, sous la forme de laboratoire social, entre janvier 2005 et août 2006, dans la ville d'Ariquemes (Rondônia, Brésil), dont les résultats ont démontré la viabilité d'un modèle d'éducation intégrale, qui vise à l'émancipation humaine, d'après la perspective marxiste. Abstract (Portuguese): Este artigo tem por objetivo apresentar os fundamentos epistemológicos, pedagógicos e políticos de uma proposta de educação integral, concebida à luz da pedagogia histórico-crítica e orientada pelo princípio pedagógico da politecnia. Para tanto, resgata-se a noção desse conceito, desde a concepção marxiana até as interpretações realizadas por alguns dos principais autores brasileiros da área, cujo suporte teórico foi posto em prática, na forma de laboratório social, entre janeiro de 2005 e agosto de 2006, na cidade rondoniense de Ariquemes, com resultados que demonstraram a viabilidade de um modelo de educação integral que visa à emancipação humana sob a perspectiva marxista.
