| Abstract: | The indigenization of folk sports culture is not only the demands for the internationalization of Chinese folk sports, but also an unavoidable topic to inherit the excellent culture of Chinese nation, but now it has fallen into the dilemma of dispute between China and the West. This study analyzed the problems existed in research of indigenization of Chinese folk sports culture on the background of cultural globalization and social transformation, and hoped to provide new suggestions for the research. The method of literature review was used. Conclusions: When doing the research of Chinese folk sports culture, we should face the reality such as loss of local culture, lack of the foundation of traditional theory, lack of vitality of research paradigm, unclear research orientation, and analyze the problems including theoretical attachment, cultural aphasia and cultural alienation; we should adhere to the academic criticism and sublation to construct the independent academic research paradigm, adhere to the research paradigm with whole thinking to promote the multiple complementarity of the research paradigm, adhere to the multiple perspectives of the research content to strengthen the multi regional interaction of folk sports culture, adhere to the cross-complementarity of research methods to expand the depth and breadth of cultural research, adhere to the "fully inclusive and equitable, harmony but not sameness" principle to promote the integration of folk sports culture with the times.
