| Abstract (English): | Freinet pedagogy is an educational proposal that allows children to express themselves and brings their interests and experiences into the classroom to foster the educational process. For Célestin Freinet, it was the printing press that permitted the exercise of democratization of education. This interest in modernizing the school is not only limited to the work done in the classroom, but also aims to assist in social transformation, going beyond school boundaries, which brings us to the use of another technique: the school newspaper. This article aims to look into the importance of Freinet techniques in 21st century schools, and show their usefulness when linked to a series of communicative possibilities. To do so, we start with a proposal to adapt the use of printing to ICT. In addition, we show the relevance of the use of the school newspaper, associated with the development of creativity and the promotion of interest in the press and the news from a critical perspective, as a proposal for the improvement of educational practice. | Abstract (Spanish): | La pedagogía Freinet es una propuesta educativa que da la palabra a los niños: trae sus intereses y experiencias al aula para nutrir con ellas el proceso educativo. La imprenta fue, para Célestin Freinet, el instrumento que permitió llevar a la práctica este ejercicio de democratización de la educación. Este interés por modernizar la escuela no sólo se limita al trabajo realizado dentro del aula, sino que pretende servir de ayuda para la transformación social, traspasar las fronteras de la escuela, para lo cual es necesario mencionar el uso de otra de sus técnicas más destacadas: el periódico escolar. Este artículo tiene el objetivo de profundizar en la valía de las técnicas Freinet en las escuelas de siglo XXI, mostrar su utilidad vinculada a una serie de posibilidades comunicativas. Para ello, se parte de una propuesta de adaptación del uso de la imprenta a las TIC. Además, se expone la pertinencia de la utilización del periódico escolar, asociado con el desarrollo de la creatividad y el fomento del interés por la prensa y la actualidad desde una visión crítica, como propuesta para la mejora de la práctica educativa.
