Abstract: The article focuses on mass protests of police violence against Black people some libraries are revisiting the ways in historically has interacted with law enforcement by hosting police-led community programming. Topics include Toledo–Lucas County Public Library has announced that when it reopens after its COVID-19 shutdown, the security staff members in its branches will no longer carry arms uniforms, and the public safety working group that will attempt to untangle complex about safety.
