Abstract: The symposium section was intended for key topics that enabled authors to speak with one another or for guest editors to spotlight research and practice from various standpoints. And so we took delight in working closely with guest editors of respective symposia and all the authors who contributed to issues in volumes 50 to 53. In their symposium introduction, "Explorations of the Tensions and Potentials of De-Centering the Human in Early Childhood Education Research", the guest editors point to the important interruptions in unsettling anthropocentrism and offer some questions as entry points into the articles in the symposium. "Diffractions" not only complements the authors' diffractive approaches in the symposium on critical posthumanism but also propels the thinking that we, as editors, have welcomed and cultivated, including our own, to offer some possible directions in equity research.
