Abstract: Simulation-based learning is an active learning method and frequently used in medical education. This method was carried out by integrating theory and practice in patient management. Simulation-based learning begins by creating complex scenarios in accordance with intended learning outcomes. This study was conducted to identify the perceptions of paramedical students on simulation-based learning in disaster management course. The method used is a cross-sectional study using the survey form distributed to 110 respondents consisting of 46 of Seremban Medical Assistant Diploma students and 64 of Kuala Pilah Nursing Diploma students. All respondents who have been selected are those who have been involved in simulation-based learning in disaster management courses. The results show that the respondents' perception was very positive which 81.8% agree simulation can improve knowledge, with an average score of 3.90, 77.3% agree simulation can improve skills with an average score of 3.87 and 83.6% agree simulation can change into a positive attitude with an average score of 3.90. However, the chi-square statistical test found that there was no relationship between demographics, namely profession, gender and age with students' perceptions of simulation-based learning with a value of p> 0.05. In conclusion, students have a perception that simulation-based learning can help them improve their knowledge, skills and lead to positive attitude change. In addition, simulation-based learning can be practised to all categories of students including different ages. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
