Abstract (English): Metric thinking is an essential element for the proper training of the physical educator. The objective of this paper is to analyze the development of metric thinking in the context of Physical Education through the Allosteric Learning Model and Pathfinder Associative Networks in a group of students from the Military Physical Education program. The predominant learning styles were identified and the core concepts in the students' cognitive structure were compared before and after the development of the Didactic Unit. The MAA was applied in the context of a 400-meter race in which students had to solve problems about different physiological variables related to metric thinking, also using the Rudnick & Krulik algorithm. The results obtained in the PosTEST indicated a positive trend (Good-Regular level) in significant learning in contrast to the initial PreTEST (Low - Very Low level). [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
Abstract (Spanish): El pensamiento métrico es un elemento esencial para una adecuada formación del educador físico. El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar el desarrollo del pensamiento métrico en el contexto de la Educación Física a través del Modelo de Aprendizaje Alostérico y las Redes Asociativas Pathfinder en un grupo de estudiantes del programa de Educación Física Militar. Se identificaron los estilos de aprendizaje predominante y se compararon los conceptos nucleares en la estructura cognitiva de los estudiantes antes y después del desarrollo de la Unidad Didáctica. Se aplicó el MAA en el contexto de una carrera de 400 metros en la que los estudiantes debían resolver problemas sobre diferentes variables fisiológicas relacionadas con el pensamiento métrico, utilizando además el algoritmo de Rudnick y Krulik. Los resultados obtenidos en el PosTEST indican una tendencia positiva (nivel Bueno-Regular) en el aprendizaje significativo en contraste con el PreTEST inicial (nivel Bajo-Muy Bajo).
