Abstract: Finally, by integrating digital education curriculum into an already existing teaching curriculum, it affirmed the larger message that the skills needed to navigate alternate teaching platforms also enhance the trainee's overall growth as a health professions educator. Some learner communities of practise are more immersed in podcasts or Tweetorials, whereas other learner groups may be more engaged with visual learning on Instagram.4 Similarly, the digital education landscape changes dramatically each year, and what is appropriate for a curriculum is 2021 may be out-of-date by 2025. Over the past decade, health profession trainee use of organic digital education (ODE) has increased exponentially through mediums such as podcasts, infographics, educational Twitter threads called Tweetorials and YouTube video lectures.1,2 ODE can be distinguished from traditional forms of medical education, including traditional e-learning, in that it takes place asynchronously in a virtual community of practise, is produced largely by individual educators rather than institutions and disseminates far more widely than traditional forms of teaching.
