| Abstract (English): | The article addresses the problem of accreditation of educational programs in Mexico. The importance of this type of evaluation is generated based on the policies in which higher education in Latin America is circumscribed. The objective of the research was to carry out a documentary analysis of 21 accreditation documents of seven programs of a public university over three periods, in order to classify the recommendations made by the accrediting instances; The resulting units or categories were as follows: Academic Staff, Students, Curriculum, Collaboration, Research and Program Management. The results show a lack of conceptual delimitation and compliance with international standards in the 21 documents, as well as information that suggests the university should increase the competitiveness of its programs, consolidate collegial work, strength trajectories, and meet the needs of the environment. The authors conclude that there is a need to make explicit the evaluation model that supports the accreditations. In addition, they describe how the accreditation promotes academic productivity and the establishment of basic conditions for the organization and operation of educational programs. | Abstract (Spanish): | El artículo aborda la problemática de la acreditación de programas educativos en México. Se reconoce que el auge de este tipo de ejercicios se genera en función de las políticas en las cuales se circunscribe la educación superior en Latinoamérica. La investigación tuvo por objetivo realizar un análisis documental de 21 dictámenes de acreditación de siete programas de una universidad pública a lo largo de tres periodos, en aras de clasificar las recomendaciones realizadas por los organismos acreditadores; las unidades o categorías resultantes fueron las siguientes: Personal académico, Estudiantes, Plan de estudios, Vinculación, Investigación y Gestión del programa. Al analizar cada una de las recomendaciones en las categorías seleccionadas se observa primeramente una falta de delimitación conceptual y de cumplimiento de estándares internacionales en los dictámenes revisados, además de sugerencias tendientes a incrementar la competitividad de los programas, consolidar el trabajo colegiado, fortalecer trayectorias escolares y atender necesidades del entorno. Se concluye la necesidad de hacer explícito el modelo de evaluación que sustente las acreditaciones, además, se describe cómo la acreditación promueve la productividad académica y el establecimiento de condiciones básicas de organización y operación de programas educativos. Reconhece-se que a ascensão desse tipo de exercício é gerada com base nas políticas nas quais o ensino superior na América Latina é circunscrito. O objetivo da pesquisa foi realizar uma análise documental de 21 pareceres de acreditação de sete programas de uma universidade pública em três períodos, a fim de classificar as recomendações feitas pelos órgãos credenciadores; as unidades ou categorias resultantes foram as seguintes: Pessoal Acadêmico, Estudantes, Currículo, Obrigação, Pesquisa e Gerenciamento de Programas. Ao analisar cada uma das recomendações nas categorias selecionadas, observa-se uma primeira falta de delimitação conceitual e cumprimento das normas internacionais nas 21 opiniões revisadas, além de sugestões destinadas a aumentar a competitividade dos programas, consolidar o trabalho colegiado e fortalecer trajetórias escolares e atender às necessidades do meio ambiente. Conclui-se a necessidade de explicitar o modelo de avaliação que apóia as acreditações, além de descrever como a acreditação promove a produtividade acadêmica e o estabelecimento de condições básicas para a organização e operação de programas educacionais.
