| Abstract (English): | The present study exposes an innovative idea that involves the use of laser technology with Raspberry PI directed to carpentries with the purpose of improving the precision in wood tracing; the quantitative-qualitative route was used with a descriptive scope making reference to the main characteristics of laser cutting systems. In the research process, it was determined that there are problems of precision in the tracing and failures in the manual tools used. The use of a laser cutting machine does not produce as many chips as the conventional process, it can be used to make contours on the surface of the wood, silhouette adjustments or parts to be manipulated. | Abstract (Spanish): | El presente estudio expone una idea innovadora que implica el uso de la tecnología láser con Raspberry PI dirigida a las carpinterías, con el propósito de mejorar la precisión en el trazado en la madera; se empleó la ruta cuantitativa - cualitativa con un alcance descriptivo haciendo referencia a las principales características de los sistemas de corte por láser. En el proceso de investigación se determinó que hay problemas de precisión en el trazado y fallas en las herramientas manuales que se utilizan. El empleo de una máquina para el corte por láser no produce tantas virutas como el proceso convencional, puede ser utilizada para realizar contornos en la superficie de la madera, ajustes de silueta o piezas a manipular.
