Abstract: The aim of this paper is twofold. On the one hand, to know about the pedagogical approaches of Julián B. Caparrós Morata, one of the best-trained, most committed and, unfortunately, less well-known teachers of pedagogical renewal in the Canary Islands and Spain. And, on the other hand, to delve into the figure of what was one of the most important men in the fields of education and politics in Central America. And all this, in a pre-war, war, post-war and cold war time, of a clear setback in ideas and the rise of pragmatism in the political, social and cultural spheres. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
