| Abstract (English): | The objective of this article is to analyze the initial process of Spain's secondary teachers in constructing their identity, during their participation in the master's program in education and practice teaching. A biographical/narrative approach was used to analyze the accounts of 160 students in the master's program at Universidad de Valencia in 2019-2020 and 2020-2021. The focus was on the positive and negative qualities of their training, and their experience in practice teaching. Numerous traits of ideal and non-ideal teachers were identified during the two stages. The conclusion was that identifiable changes occur in teachers' identity that support their transition to teachers as they set aside their role as students. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
| Abstract (Spanish): | El objetivo de este artículo es analizar el proceso inicial de construcción de la identidad del docente de educación secundaria desde su llegada al máster de Formación del profesorado hasta su paso por el periodo de prácticas. Se recurrió a un enfoque metodológico biográfico-narrativo, analizando los relatos que realizaron 160 alumnas(os) del máster de la Universidad de Valencia durante los cursos 2019-2020 y 2020-2021 sobre las cualidades positivas y negativas del profesorado que habían tenido durante su escolaridad, y en su experiencia durante el periodo del Prácticum. Se identificaron numerosos rasgos acerca del docente ideal y de aquel que no lo era en los dos momentos del tiempo señalados, permitiéndonos concluir que sí se producen cambios reseñables en la identidad inicial del docente y que afianzan su identidad como profesores, dejando a un lado su rol de estudiantes en formación.
