Abstract: The article discusses the methods to inspire student to teaching and learning through children's literature. Topics include uploading shelfies holding favorite book in social media to access the dominant culture of the students; displaying a color copy of a book cover alongside a re-print of the first sentence or two from page one; and wrapping a selection of books individually in brown paper and pasting a brief overview of the books on the front.
