| Abstract: | The article presents the author's views on the role of the educators in rebuilding trust in U.S. public education. Topics include the declines in public school enrollment in relation to the response to the COVID-19 pandemic; the rise of increasingly assertive diversity, equity, and inclusion agendas in many schools' commitment to purported anti-racist pedagogies and curricula; and the rebalancing in the power and permission structures of public education. |
