Abstract: Davidson et al. (this issue) suggest that "parents with higher individual SES may have greater access to supportive social networks, which could support adjustment after a child's cancer diagnosis." This gap is problematic given the number of racially and ethnic diverse children with pediatric chronic health conditions and may contribute to health disparities, which exist for most childhood cancers and are evident from diagnosis through end-of-life-care (e.g. [10]; [14]).
