Abstract (English): We aim to revisit the applicability of the Macroelements of Quality of Life at Work (QLW) in HEIs in times of a pandemic. This research's objective is to answer the question: Is it possible to apply the QWL macro-elements in HEIs in times of a pandemic? This qualitative research uses documentary analysis and empirical data from a mixed focus group. The theoretical framework is grounded in the hierarchy of macroelements of the conceptual model of quality of work life management. The results show major changes in people's behavior and institutional policies for QLW; a rereading of macroelements in times of pandemic; and the emergence of the adaptability macroelement. We consider the need to revisit the global protocols, resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, aimed at caring for the holistic health of people and re-discussing the concepts of quality of life, quality of life at work and the workplace. Abstract (Spanish): El objetivo de este trabajo es revisitar la aplicabilidad de los macroelementos de la calidad de vida en el trabajo (CVT) en instituciones de educación superior (IES) en tiempos de pandemia, e intenta por tanto responder a ¿cuál es la aplicabilidad de los macroelementos de la CVT en las IES en tiempos de pandemia? Es una investigación cualitativa con análisis documental y datos empíricos de un grupo focal mixto. El marco teórico se basa en la jerarquía de macroelementos del modelo conceptual de gestión de la calidad de vida laboral. Los resultados evidencian profundos cambios en el comportamiento de las personas y en las políticas institucionales para la CVT, relectura de los macroelementos en tiempos de pandemia y surgimiento del macroelemento 'adaptabilidad'. Consideramos la necesidad de revisar los protocolos mundiales resultantes de la pandemia orientados a cuidar la salud integral de la persona, y rediscutir los conceptos "calidad de vida", "calidad de vida en el trabajo" y "lugar de trabajo".
