| Abstract: | The article presents a study on the effects of background noise and hearing attenuation due to earplugs during interactive communication in older people. Among the metrics measured in the research are heart rate variability, skin conductance, and pupil size. Based on the results, there are potential markers of communication difficulty like pupillometry and electrodermal measures. |
