Abstract (English): The article summarizes the existence and objectives of the Mexican Council of Educational Research (COMIE) since its foundation in 1993. It highlights the promotion of the creation and dissemination of knowledge in education, the formation of research networks, and the organization of academic events. It also emphasizes the participation of women in the association and the importance of educational research in addressing social problems and promoting justice. The need to reflect on the scientific and moral foundations that support the Council's actions is emphasized, as well as the importance of promoting a gender perspective and reviewing the historical exclusion of women in knowledge production. Abstract (Spanish): El artículo resume la existencia y los objetivos del Consejo Mexicano de Investigación Educativa (COMIE) desde su fundación en 1993. Destaca la promoción de la creación y difusión de conocimientos en educación, la formación de redes de investigación y la organización de eventos académicos. También se resalta la participación de las mujeres en la asociación y la importancia de la investigación educativa para abordar problemas sociales y promover la justicia. Se enfatiza la necesidad de reflexionar sobre las bases científicas y morales que sustentan la acción del Consejo, así como la importancia de promover la perspectiva de género y revisar la exclusión histórica de las mujeres en la producción del conocimiento.
