Abstract: This article discusses the importance of incorporating environmental sustainability into quality improvement (QI) projects in the medical field. The authors argue that while QI teaching is valuable, it often neglects the crucial aspect of sustainability. They highlight the role of the healthcare sector in contributing to greenhouse gas emissions and emphasize the need for QI projects to consider the triple bottom line of financial, environmental, and social impacts.
