| Abstract: | This article, titled "Girls' & Young Women's Leader Identity Development: A Scoping Review," explores the development of leadership identity in girls and young women in the context of agricultural education. The authors conducted a review of existing research and identified four factors that contribute to the development of leader identity: relationships, personal characteristics, meaningful engagement, and social identities. The article suggests several strategies for agricultural educators to support girls in developing as leaders, including being a positive influence, reinforcing the idea that girls can be leaders, addressing students' beliefs about leaders, and involving parents and families in leadership development activities.
