Abstract: The article explores the attributes of Marvel World and the themes of heroism, love, grief and responsibility in Marvel movies. The desire to defend, hoard, or steal intellectual property are the frequent motivation of villains and heroes in Marvel Cinematic Universe such as in "Iron Man," as well as the anxiety about corporate control and uniformity in "Black Panther," and self-awareness and patience in "Spider-Man: Far From Home." Identification with power is said to explain the quality of Marvel fandom. However, the association of Marvel with quality is no longer the case for several projects like "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania" whose visual effects were mocked by fans and critics and "Infinity War" wherein the Thanos storyline was the apotheosis of emotional arms race.
