| Abstract: | To explore the improvement of student writing skills, the authors of this study employ a writing support software, CorrectEnglish (now known as IntelliWriter), in various classes during two consecutive semesters in a university setting. Some students use the software to assist them in writing while others choose not to use it; student essay scores provide comparisons across the groups. The findings show students using the software improved their writing skills while the students who did not use the software showed no improvement. The authors conclude that this writing support software is effective in helping students author essays. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
