Abstract: The introduction to Volume 28, Issue 1 of the Online Learning journal provides an overview of the articles included in this issue. The articles cover a range of topics related to online learning, including student engagement, academic integrity, faculty concerns, Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs), and student and community issues in online learning environments. The articles explore various aspects of online learning, such as the role of self-regulation in student engagement, the impact of social presence in synchronous videoconferencing, parental perceptions of online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic, the use of learning analytics in K-12 online video-based learning, academic integrity in online testing, instructor leadership in online learning, challenges faced by online teachers in developing countries, faculty experiences during the pandemic, participant motivations for enrolling in MOOCs, and the perceptions of institution and program community among online university students.
