| Abstract: | The article features the BookBag summer reading program created by librarian Sheila Michaels for the Nixa (Missouri) Community Branch Library. Michaels shared the possible initiative with English teacher Haylee Anderson and they set the plan in action. They focused on gathering hygiene products, prepackaged food, and school supplies. According to Michaels, one of her main concerns was to maintain the privacy and dignity of the families who attended the program. |
