| Abstract (English): | Lately, several countries have been incorporating programming in primary and secondary education. Students can become the protagonists of their learning through programming, which, along with other factors, fosters problem solving and the development of abstract and computational thinking. Teaching computer science is essential to prepare future professionals. Robotics provides design and construction opportunities that engage students' interests. This project evaluates Mulita, a small-sized, rugged, inexpensive, locally designed, programmable educational robot. This allows secondary school teachers to introduce robotics into their classrooms and support technical education in various disciplines in an accessible way. Mulita was used in an Argentinean educational institution for three years, evaluating its results, the students' reactions, and the learning process of programming. The teacher's opinions were considered to improve the design of the robot and the impact on the learning process of the students who interacted with it. The teacher evaluated (a) the usefulness of Mulita to strengthen didactic strategies in teaching programming, (b) his overall experience, (c) teaching and learning strategies to engage students and foster their creativity, (d) students' reactions and results during implementation, and (e) the influence of training or support on these results. | Abstract (Spanish): | Últimamente, en varios países se observa la incorporación de la programación en la educación primaria y secundaria. Los estudiantes pueden volverse protagonistas de su propio aprendizaje mediante la programación, la cual, junto con otros factores, fomenta la resolución de problemas y el desarrollo del pensamiento abstracto y computacional. La enseñanza de la ciencia de la computación es esencial para preparar a futuros profesionales. La robótica brinda oportunidades de diseño y construcción que atraen el interés de los estudiantes. Este proyecto evalúa Mulita, un robot educativo programable de pequeño tamaño, resistente y económico, diseñado localmente. Esto permite a los profesores de educación secundaria introducir la robótica en sus aulas y respaldar la educación técnica en diversas disciplinas de manera accesible. Mulita se utilizó en una institución educativa argentina, durante tres años, evaluando sus resultados, las reacciones de los alumnos y el proceso de aprendizaje de programación. Se consideraron las opiniones del docente para mejorar el diseño del robot y el impacto sobre el aprendizaje de los alumnos que interactuaron con él. El docente evaluó (a) la utilidad de Mulita para fortalecer las estrategias didácticas en la enseñanza de programación, (b) su experiencia general, (c) las estrategias de enseñanza y aprendizaje para involucrar a los alumnos y fomentar su creatividad, (d) las reacciones y los resultados de los alumnos durante la implementación y (e) la influencia de la capacitación o el apoyo sobre estos resultados.
