Abstract: The author narrates how his seventh and eighth graders genrefied their classroom library, which was previously organized only in terms of fiction, nonfiction, and poetry. He mentions a student in his homeroom he calls Atria who led the sorting of the books with colors that seemed to flow together like a rainbow. He relates his realization as a librarian about genrefied collection driven by student input is probably the way to go.
