Abstract (English): This study analyzes the integration of smart cities in Primary Education in Italy, highlighting how technological innovations and urban sustainability principles can transform the teaching of sciences and humanities from an early age. The importance of technology as a driver of change is emphasized, focusing on an interdisciplinary approach that merges civic education, sustainable development, and civic participation. The work presents case studies in cities such as Genoa, Cagliari, Sanremo, and Loreto, demonstrating the positive impact of digital skills on education and the development of smart cities. Furthermore, the study underscores how essential civic participation is for the social, cultural, economic, and political development of a country. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
Abstract (Spanish): Este trabajo analiza la integración de las ciudades inteligentes en Educación Primaria en Italia, destacando cómo las innovaciones tecnológicas y los principios de sostenibilidad urbana pueden transformar la enseñanza de las ciencias y las disciplinas humanísticas desde una edad temprana. Se subraya la importancia de la tecnología como motor de cambio, enfatizando un enfoque interdisciplinario que fusiona la educación cívica, el desarrollo sostenible y la participación ciudadana. El trabajo presenta estudios de caso en ciudades como Génova, Cagliari, Sanremo y Loreto, demostrando el impacto positivo de las competencias digitales en la educación y en el desarrollo de las ciudades inteligentes.
