Abstract (English): The hotel sector faces specific challenges related to job satisfaction due to the nature of its operations, such as high levels of customer interaction, staff turnover, and long, irregular working hours. The objective of this research was to determine the level of job satisfaction among employees in the hotel sector in Tabasco, Mexico. A quantitative approach was employed with a non-experimental, crosssectional, descriptive, and correlational design. The instrument was applied to 110 participants, who responded under data protection measures. The measurement scale dimensions were obtained through an exploratory factor analysis, validating the construct in four dimensions: collaboration, planning, compensation, and physical conditions, which explained a total variance of 61.10% with a reliability of .909 in Cronbach's Alpha. The results indicate that 50.9% of the population perceives low levels of job satisfaction, with compensation being the dimension with the lowest average score. This research provides a new validated and reliable measurement instrument for future research on the topic as well as results that set the tone for improving job satisfaction in the unit of analysis.
