Abstract (English): Higher studies in agronomy, as well as physics and applied mathematics, were considered to have a greater male presence; as is the case of the then National School of Agriculture (ENA), today the Universidad Autónoma de Chapingo (UACH); which taught studies with an agricultural focus exclusively to men until 1973; therefore, the process of feminization began late in contrast to other universities such as the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) or the Instituto Politécnico Nacional (IPN). The objective of the research is to observe the change in women's participation over time. The Gender Parity Index (GPI) was used. The gpi reflects a process of feminization (GPI≥1) in various careers; not so in programs with a higher mathematics content. The gpi in researchers from the Universidad Autónoma de Chapingo (uach) is lower than that obtained in the same areas of knowledge in Mexico. Feminization has reached levels similar to other higher education institutions, but not for research activities. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
[ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
