Abstract (English): The aim of this study is to comparatively examine the scientific contents of the Ministry of National Education secondary science high school and Anatolian high school 9th grade physics textbooks related to the electrostatics unit in the physics curriculum. Within the scope of the study, the case survey model based on document analysis was used. The scientific explanations in the electrostatics unit in both physics textbooks were examined under the titles of Properties of Electric Charges, Charge Distributions in Conductors and Insulators, Interaction between Electrically Charged Bodies and Electric Field. As a result of the examinations, 15 statements or visuals were evaluated as scientifically incorrect or incomplete. In the findings section of the study, both the scientifically correct explanations of the 15 problematic statements according to the sources used in physics teaching in national and international literature and the matching of the problematic statements with the misconceptions in the literature were given in tables. In line with the results of the study, it is suggested that the errors in scientific explanations in physics textbooks can be minimized by examining the relevant literature in detail during the process of renewal of physics textbooks. Abstract (Turkish): Bu çalışmanın amacı, fizik öğretim programında yer alan elektrostatik ünitesiyle ilgili Millî Eğitim Bakanlığı ortaöğretim fen lisesi ve Anadolu lisesi 9. sınıf fizik ders kitabındaki bilimsel içeriklerin karşılaştırmalı olarak incelenmesidir. Çalışma kapsamında doküman incelemesine dayalı örnek olay tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. incelenen her iki fizik ders kitabındaki elektrostatik ünitesindeki bilimsel açıklamalar, Elektrik Yüklerinin Özellikleri, İletken ve Yalıtkanlarda Yük Dağılımları, Elektrik Yüklü Cisimler Arasındaki Etkileşim ve Elektrik Alanı başlıkları altından incelenmiştir. İncelemeler soncunda 15 ifade veya görsel bilimsel yönden hatalı veya eksik olarak değerlendirilmiştir. Çalışmanın bulgular kısmında hem tespit edilen 15 problemli ifadenin ulusal ve uluslararası alanyazında fizik öğretiminde kullanılan kaynaklara göre bilimsel açıdan doğru açıklamaları, hem de problemli ifadelerin alanyazındaki kavram yanılgılarıyla eşleştirilmesi tablolar halinde verilmiştir. Araştırmanın sonuçları doğrultusunda, fizik ders kitaplarının yenilenmesi sürecinde ilgili alanyazının detaylı bir şekilde incelenmesiyle fizik ders kitaplarındaki bilimsel açıklamalardaki hataların en aza indirilebilmesi önerilmiştir.
