| Abstract (English): | From a social, comprehensive, multidimensional, and dynamic approach to high intellectual abilities, the objective of this study is to understand the educational situation of students with high intellectual abilities in the second grade of basic education in La Matriz parish. Several tests were applied to identify the population with gitness, as well as their sociodemographic characteristics, aptitudes, interests and learning styles. With the construction of a portfolio of talents some individualized strategies for educational support were suggested. The research follows a mixed methodology, with a descriptive, observational, cross-sectional and applied study. Form the sample of 93 students around the age of 6 and 7 years, it was identified that 12.9% presented a superior intellectual capacity. Among the most significant results, it stands out that 2.2% of the students' present giftedness; 4.4% simple talent and 8.6% compound talent. Academic performance is significantly associated with creativity and IQ, with a positive relationship for both variables. Each of the students presents a unique profile of aptitudes, interests and learning styles, evidencing the uniqueness of the human being and the need to provide individualized educational support. | Abstract (Spanish): | Desde un enfoque biopsicosocial, integral, multidimensional y dinámico de las altas capacidades intelectuales, el objetivo del estudio es comprender la situación educativa de los estudiantes con altas capacidades intelectuales de segundo grado de educación general básica del cantón Guano, parroquia la Matriz. Se aplicó varias pruebas para identificar a la población con altas capacidades intelectuales; además de conocer sus características sociodemográficas, aptitudes, intereses y estilos de aprendizaje. Finalmente, se planteó un portafolio total de talentos y se sugirió algunas estrategias individualizadas para el acompañamiento educativo. La investigación sigue una metodología mixta, cuantitativa y cualitativa, siendo un estudio descriptivo, observacional y transversal. De una muestra de 93 estudiantes entre los 6 y 7 años, se identificó que el 12,9 % presentaron una capacidad intelectual superior. Entre los resultados más significativos destacan que el 2,2 % de los estudiantes presentan superdotación; el 4,4 % talento simple y el 8,6 % talento compuesto. El rendimiento académico está asociado significativamente con la creatividad y el coeficiente intelectual, con una relación positiva para ambas variables. Cada estudiante presenta un perfil único de aptitudes, intereses y estilos de aprendizaje, evidenciándose la singularidad del ser humano y la necesidad de brindar un acompañamiento educativo individualizado.
