| Abstract: | In this paper, a framework is introduced which has been designed to evaluate the extent to which mathematics assessments measure students’ mathematical proficiency. This paper outlines the development of a new and novel structured framework for scoring the degree to which mathematical proficiency strands are assessed along with an example of how the framework can be applied. In outlining this, the authors aim to provide educators with a framework that could enhance assessment design and subsequently enhance students’ mathematical proficiency. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
