Abstract: Effective mental health practices are an important dimension of overall health and wellness for intercollegiate student‐athletes. The NCAA has demonstrated its commitment to student‐athlete mental health and wellness for more than 10 years. This author was a member of the first inter‐association work group that developed the NCAA's first edition of Mental Health Best Practices: Understanding and Supporting Student‐Athlete Mental Health document back in 2016. The inter‐association document has since been revised in 2020 and updated in 2024 by the NCAA Sport Science Institute. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
