Abstract: The article focuses on assessing the comfort and fit of instrumented mouth guards (iMGs) used by youth tackle football players and how these factors influence the frequency of mouth guard replacements. A study involving 45 players utilized a mid-season survey to evaluate comfort levels, revealing that overall discomfort was linked to specific areas such as gums, teeth, and lips. The findings indicated that discomfort could lead to increased chewing, resulting in more frequent replacements due to damage.
