Abstract: The article examines how the Chicago Collections Consortium (CCC). Topics include the creation and purpose of the EXPLORE platform, which unites archival and digital materials from multiple institutions into a single discovery tool; the development of a localized vocabulary, designed to harmonize diverse metadata standards and improve user experience; and the ongoing work of the Controlled Vocabulary Committee.
