Abstract (English): The inclusion of blind children in the school environment is a complex process that goes beyond the pedagogical realm, encompassing social, cultural, and emotional dimensions. Although Brazilian legislation guarantees the right to inclusive education, barriers still persist that compromise the effectiveness of this policy. This article aims to analyze the main challenges faced by blind children in the school context and discuss strategies that promote their learning and socialization, based on theoretical frameworks, legislation, and case studies. The results indicate that overcoming these barriers depends on ongoing teacher training, curricular adaptation, and raising awareness within the school community. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
Abstract (Portuguese): A inclusão de crianças cegas no ambiente escolar constitui um processo complexo que ultrapassa o campo pedagógico, envolvendo dimensões sociais, culturais e emocionais. Embora a legislação brasileira assegure o direito à educação inclusiva, ainda persistem barreiras que comprometem a efetividade dessa política. Este artigo tem como objetivo analisar os principais desafios enfrentados pelas crianças cegas no contexto escolar e discutir estratégias que favoreçam sua aprendizagem e socialização, com base em referenciais teóricos, legislações e estudos de caso. Os resultados apontam que a superação das barreiras depende da formação docente contínua, da adaptação curricular e da sensibilização da comunidade escolar. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
