| Abstract: | The Mary and John Gray Library located in Beaumont, Texas has been using the ILLiad ILL (Interlibrary Loan) system supported and distributed by OCLC to process borrowing and lending requests. In 2017, OCLC launched a cloud-based automated ILL system Tipasa, which is built on the WorldShare platform and has several advantages over ILLiad. We migrated from ILLiad to Tipasa in 2018 to manage our ILL requests. This migration process was spearheaded by the systems librarian in collaboration with the library ILL department, university central IT (Information Technology), OCLC implementation team, and library patrons. During this migration we experienced four main challenges: (1) Data Migration (2) Authentication Integration (3) Staff training and customization (4) Post Go Live support and updates. In this article, the systems librarian perspective on ILLiad to Tipasa migration will be discussed including the challenges faced and how effectively we troubleshoot to successfully complete the migration. Finally, the post-implementation analysis comparing lending and borrowing statistical data of ILLiad and Tipasa over the years has been discussed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
