Abstract (English): Transmedia narrative has revolutionized the dissemination of academic content by integrating it with audiovisual production, offering an innovative experience for knowledge acquisition and efficiently connecting academia with society. Higher education institutions face challenges in the dissemination of academic and scientific research content due to their reliance on conventional media characterized by technical and specialized language, which fails to engage the broader university community or achieve substantial impact. This fact drives the analysis of the effectiveness of the transmedia narrative in creating audiovisual content for university academic products in Ecuador. Using a mixed methodology and relational research, this study is elaborated to understand the interplay between transmedia narrative and the comprehension of academic content disseminated exclusively through audiovisual production. The results of this research provide insights into the effectiveness of disseminating academic content, outlining audiovisual styles, languages, and effective modalities for conveying useful information. In conclusion, adopting this strategy improves reach, comprehension, and audience engagement, providing an effective framework to disseminate academic content across multiple platforms, thereby expanding participation. Abstract (Spanish): La narrativa transmedia ha transformado la difusión de contenidos académicos al integrarse con la producción audiovisual, presentando una experiencia innovadora para la adquisición de conocimiento y vinculando de manera eficiente a la academia con la sociedad. Las instituciones de educación superior enfrentan desafíos en la difusión de contenidos académicos y científicos de investigación debido a su dependencia de los medios convencionales con lenguaje técnico y especializado, lo que no logra involucrar a la población universitaria en general ni producir un impacto sustancial. Este hecho impulsa el análisis de la eficacia de la narrativa transmedia en la formulación de contenidos audiovisuales para productos académicos universitarios en Ecuador. A través de una metodología mixta y de investigación relacional, se busca comprender la interactividad entre la narrativa transmedia y la comprensión de contenidos académicos difundidos exclusivamente a través de la producción audiovisual. Los resultados de esta investigación permitieron sacar conclusiones respecto a la eficacia en la difusión de contenidos académicos, delineando estilos audiovisuales, lenguajes, y modalidades efectivas para transmitir información útil. Como conclusión, la implementación de esta estrategia mejora el alcance, la comprensión y el compromiso con la audiencia, proporcionando un marco efectivo para difundir contenido académico a través de múltiples plataformas y ampliar así la participación.
