| Abstract (English): | This case study seeks to confirm the communicative strengths of the comic. It especially aims to validate, through exploratory analysis, its use as a versatile resource to reflect on the necessary compliance with Human Rights. It is part of a novel interdepartmental university project that jointly develops two other actions: one of a training nature, under the design of a didactic-documentary exhibition on the comic strip (both face-to-face and online), and a third action, with the rank of a research conference but that adopts the participatory talk model. This manuscript focuses on exploratory analysis. This is implemented in the Degree in Primary Education, with a population sample of 166 students from the last year. Its results provide data on situational aspects of reading (routines, profile, and reading habit), on access to comics (its knowledge, acceptance, and valuation), and on the social dimension of comics and their transversal viability for the treatment of values and, by extension, Human Rights. It evidences, among other aspects, some fissures in the self-perception of reading competence (2.4%) or the need to strengthen the predisposition to read (9%), and it does confirm (95.2%) the recognition of comics as an ideal, a transversal resource to convey a reflection on Human Rights. In this regard, it is identified as a kind of "hypotext", recurring in the homes since the reading genesis of the students surveyed, and, above all, with the projection of being used in their future academic practice as teaching professionals.
