| Abstract: | The article presents information about professional courses on higher education to be given in summer schools in the U.S. No less than twenty-four institutions have announced for this summer courses on various aspects of college administration and college teaching. Included in the group are the Universities of California, Chicago, Cincinnati, Colorado, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Pittsburgh, Southern California, Washington, and Wisconsin; Duke, Indiana, New York, Northwestern, Ohio State, Stanford, and Western Reserve Universities, Colorado State Teachers College, George Peabody College for Teachers, Iowa State College, and Teachers College of Columbia University. The regular teaching staffs of these institutions are augmented by specialists and experienced workers in college administration and teaching who can be enlisted during the summer months to direct work of this character. The variety and scope of the courses on the organization and administration of higher education which have now been offered at Teachers College, Columbia University for the past eight years have been steadily increasing. |
