Abstract (English): Under the broad context of social education, this article, based on the accessibility theory, constructs an analysis framework for the accessibility of social education in public libraries from five aspects: availability, approachability, acceptability, suitability, and affordability. It conducts a study on the social education practice of the British Library, summarizes and analyzes the research results, and scientifically draws lessons from them. It proposes to enhance the accessibility of social education in public libraries in China from five aspects: leading with strategy and publicity to improve service availability; adhering to the combination of universal equality and stratified education to enhance service approachability; integrating traditional culture and innovative experience scenarios to improve the cultural acceptability of services; driving with user needs and technology empowerment to enhance service suitability; and establishing a sustainable guarantee mechanism to improve service affordability.
