| Abstract: | Owing to the recent shift in education paradigm that focuses more on competency over content, the assessment of entrepreneurship education (EE) should be understood from the competency perspective. This study aims to decipher the influence of EE on entrepreneurial competency (EC) and entrepreneurship intention (EI), along with the mediating effect of EC on EE-EI linkage. The moderating impact of lecturer competency (LC) on EE-EC connection was also explored. A sample of 256 final-year engineering students was used to analyse the data through Partial Least Square- Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings exhibited that EE has no direct impact on EI, rather it has an indirect effect mediated through EC, while LC significantly moderates EE-EC connection. The outcomes recommend that the convergence of student and lecturer competency will result in real entrepreneurial learning eventually leading to students' EI creation. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
