Abstract: Education is one of the most effective tools for raising individuals' awareness and fostering societal transformation toward sustainable water management and preservation. In this context, enhancing teachers' water literacy, who will shape future generations, is vital to building a sustainable future. This research aims to encourage elementary teachers to develop and implement classroom projects and activities that foster water literacy, including water comprehension, literacy levels, and attitudes towards water. In the first part of the research, 17 elementary teachers received training on water. In the second part, the teachers developed learning activities on water literacy and carried out these activities. To determine the effectiveness of the training, the Personal Information and the Reflective Opinion Forms were used, and additionally, the Water Comprehension Test (WCT), the Water Literacy Scale (WLS) and the Water Attitude Scale (WAS) were used. As a result, it was found that this project encouraged the teachers to effectively implement water-related practices, and that the practices carried out by the teachers regarding water contributed positively to the sustainability of water.
