ALISE’s mission is to advance LIS education through research, pedagogy, and community building, with conferences serving as key venues for professional exchange, networking, and development. Recurring conference themes have addressed topics such as change and innovation, research, teaching, practice connections, internationalization, community engagement, interdisciplinarity, organizational survival, diversity, equity, inclusion, justice, and ethics.
