| Abstract: | The article focuses on the concept that teaching, particularly in Technology and Engineering Education (TEE), fundamentally relies on faith—defined as a belief in student learning and growth that cannot be immediately observed or measured. While educational systems demand quantifiable evidence of learning through assessments and data, these measures often capture only short-term performance rather than deep, enduring learning, which occurs invisibly within the learner’s brain over time. Teachers develop and sustain this faith through experience, intrinsic motivation fostered in students, and reflective practices such as journaling, despite challenges like self-doubt and external pressures. Ultimately, the article argues that effective teaching balances faith in the learning process with the use of measurable evidence, recognizing that both are essential to preparing students for an uncertain future.
