Abstract: Promoting education for sustainable development (ESD) is crucial to meet the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). One of the main features of ESD is the use of active methodologies, among which learning landscapes have recently been highlighted. This intervention study describes implementing a learning landscape to promote a critical understanding of sustainable development and the SDGs in several subjects at the University of Salamanca (Spain). The survey given at the end of the semester suggests that students were satisfied with this methodology, especially since it allowed them to personalise their learning process thanks to a wide range of diverse activities. In addition, they declared that the activities helped them gain a deeper understanding of the SDGs, which are underdeveloped in the degree programmes of Spanish universities. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
