Abstract (English): Digital competence is a multidimensional construct encompassing skills that begin to develop in early childhood through emerging technologies such as educational robotics and artificial intelligence within STEAM-based projects. Its development is supported by strategic communication and the use of educational and media platforms, which foster computational thinking, creativity, and collaboration. The research problem addresses the need to strengthen digital competence in early childhood education, whose importance contrasts with challenges in implementation. This study analyzes its development by identifying pedagogical approaches, strengths, and barriers to effective technology integration. Research questions focus on designing integrated pedagogical models and context-sensitive strategies. The methodology is based on a systematic literature review following the PRISMA framework, with searches in Scopus, Web of Science, ERIC, and Google Scholar. Applying inclusion and exclusion criteria, seven studies with diverse methodological approaches were selected for comparative analysis. Findings show that, despite progress through active methodologies and technologies such as robotics and AI, integration remains limited by insufficient teacher training, lack of resources, and disconnect between policy and classroom practice. These factors hinder coherent, ethical, and contextually relevant implementation. The study proposes a pedagogical model that integrates teacher training, curriculum, and emerging technologies to advance digital competence in early childhood education. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
Abstract (Spanish): La competencia digital es un concepto integral que reúne diversas habilidades, consolidándose desde edades tempranas mediante tecnologías emergentes como la robótica educativa y la inteligencia artificial en proyectos STEAM. Se articula mediante comunicación estratégica y el uso de plataformas educativas y mediáticas, que actúan como fuentes formativas, estimulando pensamiento computacional, creatividad y colaboración El problema de investigación aborda la necesidad de fortalecer la competencia digital en Educación Infantil, cuya relevancia contrasta con las dificultades para su implementación efectiva. El objetivo del estudio es analizar el desarrollo de la competencia digital en Educación Infantil, identificando enfoques, fortalezas y desafíos para una integración pedagógica efectiva de las tecnologías. Se plantearon preguntas orientadas al diseño de modelos pedagógicos integrados y estrategias contextualizadas. La metodología se basa en una revisión sistemática según el modelo PRISMA, con búsquedas en Scopus, Web of Science, ERIC y Google Scholar. Aplicando criterios de inclusión y exclusión, se seleccionaron siete estudios con enfoques metodológicos diversos para un análisis comparativo. La investigación señala que, pese al avance mediante metodologías activas y tecnologías como la robótica y la inteligencia artificial, su integración enfrenta obstáculos. La escasa formación docente, la falta de recursos y la desconexión entre políticas educativas y práctica escolar limitan una implementación coherente, ética y contextualizada.
