| Abstract: | This article focuses on recent research in Computer-Supported Collaborative Learning (CSCL), particularly analyzing technology-mediated interactions among learners. It highlights studies showing that emotions like anger in collaborative gaming can sometimes enhance scientific reasoning, challenging the assumption that positive emotions are always beneficial. Another study introduces the "Synthesis Lab" software, which helps preserve and refine shared knowledge from interactions into reusable artifacts. Additionally, a temporal network analysis reveals that groups often settle early into stable but suboptimal regulatory patterns during collaborative learning. Finally, research extending CSCL to family settings demonstrates how children can act as knowledgeable guides in technology-mediated learning at home, emphasizing the expanding scope of CSCL research beyond traditional classroom contexts.
