| Abstract: | This article focuses on the AdArchive project, a feminist digital humanities initiative funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) from 2022 to 2024, which digitizes and analyzes advertisements in 1970s feminist movement magazines to trace pre-digital feminist networks in the United States. Central to the project is a feminist ethic of care pedagogy that shapes collaborative research practices and undergraduate student mentorship, emphasizing holistic learning, critical reflection, and shared knowledge creation rather than transactional skills training. Undergraduate research assistants from Medicine Hat College engaged deeply with archival materials, applying feminist research ethics to data authoring and contributing as co-creators of knowledge, which enhanced their educational experience and connected with their social work training. The project illustrates how feminist ethics of care can foster inclusive, empowering research environments that challenge traditional academic hierarchies and support transformative learning.
